Cost Comparison
Education employers are able to advertise an UNLIMITED number of jobs on schoolSTAFF.com for as little as $75 per year! We do NOT charge placement fees or other 'surprise' fees, we do NOT charge you more based on your size, and we do NOT charge job seekers or require them to register.
COMPARE US ONLINE!
Monster.com
Every job board's primary online competitor is Monster.com. Last year they were charging $295 for a single 60-day posting. If you want to search their resume database, you'll pay $9,400 a year! They are the biggest of all the stand-alone job sites. They're so big that they can advertise on TV. No other job site can compete with them in terms of their ability to attract people to a single site! The bad news about Monster for education employers is that you're forced to lump all your jobs together in a general "Education, Training, and Library" category (for example, you can't categorize an advertisement as "Faculty: Language, Chinese" as you can on schoolSTAFF -- and most job seekers search by category). You'll find most of the "education" jobs aren't with education employers and so, more often than not, your ad is competing with postings from commercial enterprises trying to take educators out of education!
The ONLY non-education employers allowed to advertise on schoolSTAFF.com are employers providing supplemental income to educators and those companies that provide services to schools, for example summer camps, food service companies, and transportation providers.
Chronicle.com
It actually cost $95.00 MORE to put just ONE posting online for 60 days on the Chronicle of Higher Education's website than it does on Monster.com. Like on Monster.com, your ad will compete with the advertisements from non-education employers.
HigherEdJobs.com
Advertising on HigherEdJobs.com might make sense if you represent an institution of higher education. However, you'll pay an annual subscription of $1,795 (you'll have to decide whether THAT makes sense). Administrative offices and colleges within universities pay $995. Our advice? Join schoolSTAFF for as little as $75.00 per year
Others?
There are thousands of job sites. Only a handful focuses on providing services for education employers and educators. Some that do are country or state specific, some are level specific (for example, just for higher education or just K-12), some are position specific (for example, just for teachers), and some even charge job seekers a fee.
COMPARE US OFFLINE!
Newsprint
No newspaper or education specific print publication can reach the millions of people that schoolSTAFF can. It is amazing to us how many teacher salaries get thrown in the trash (read that "recycled") every Sunday afternoon. Yet education employers across the globe pay newspapers hundreds of dollars to run tiny classified ads in thousands of Sunday papers every week---there are some people that only look for jobs on the web. Does NOT advertising on the web REALLY make sense in the 21st Century?!? With schoolSTAFF you get an entire year of UNLIMITED job postings for as little as $75.00!
IT'S EASY!
In less time than it takes to have a cup of coffee, you can join schoolSTAFF.com and post your first job!
